Rehabilitation works completed on Blackville Road

Liverpool Plains Shire Council have recently completed extensive road pavement rehabilitation to various sections of Blackville Road between the Merriwa Road and Roaches Road.

Liverpool Plains Shire Council Mayor, Doug Hawkins OAM said Council is undertaking this project with financial assistance it successfully secured under the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Programme (LRCIP) Phase 2.  The works are valued at $450,000 and total 4.6km in length.

“Council is aware of ongoing necessary upgrade works to Blackville Road as well as similar requirements for other roads due to recent flooding events and funding is being continually sourced along with Council contributions to undertake these works. 

“Council appreciates road users’ patience and courtesy on Blackville Road during these construction works especially with ongoing harvest requirements,” he said.
