All Food Premises must be registered with council

Council is appointed as the enforcement authority by the Department of Health under the NSW Food Act.

The NSW Food Act requires all food premises to be registered and inspected annually by Council.

New food operators are encouraged to discuss any new proposals with Council's Environmental Health Officers to ensure that they are planning and designing fit-outs to comply with the relevant Food Codes and Regulations.
