Quirindi and Werris Creek Place Plans Liverpool Plains Shire Council is developing new Place Plans for Quirindi and Werris Creek to guide the future growth, development, and revitalisation of both town centres.
Single Street Traffic Calming Long held community concerns regarding pedestrian safety in the Werris Creek CBD (Single Street) were considered by the Liverpool Plains Shire Local Traffic Forum in early March 2026. This included a petition coordinated by the Lions Club of Werris Creek and signed by 292 local residents calling for a pedestrian crossing and a speed reduction to 40 km/h.
