Environment and biosecurity

Controlled burning

A controlled burn is the controlled use of fire under carefully managed conditions to reduce fuel such as dead wood, leaf litter, bark and shrubs.

Weeds and biosecurity

Weeds are a major threat to our natural environment, threatening the survival of hundreds of native plants and animals. Weed management is an essential activity which safeguards our economy, environment and community.

Pesticide Use Notifications

Find out where and when Council will be using pesticides to manage weeds.

EPA Reporting

Council holds an Environmental Protection Licence for Warrah Ridge Quarry and monitors the site regularly.
