Development Control Plan

The Liverpool Plains Development Control Plan (DCP) provides detailed planning and design guidelines for development across the Shire. It supports the Liverpool Plains Local Environmental Plan (LEP) by providing more detailed guidance on how development should be designed and carried out.

The DCP covers a range of development matters and helps applicants understand the standards and outcomes Council expects when preparing a development proposal. It also provides a consistent framework for Council when assessing development applications.

When determining a development application, Council, or another relevant consent authority, will consider the extent to which the applicable objectives and development outcomes of the DCP have been satisfied. The DCP is considered alongside the LEP and other relevant planning legislation, policies and requirements.

If you're planning a development, it's a good idea to review the relevant sections of the DCP early in the process so you understand the planning and design requirements that may apply to your proposal.
