Role of the Mayor and Councillors

The Mayor and Councillors each have specific roles and responsibilities under the Local Government Act.

Councillor expenses and facilities

Councillors are entitled to be provided with necessary resources and facilities, and to have relevant expenses reimbursed, to support them to effectively perform their role.

Councillor professional development

We support our Mayor and Councillors in developing the wide variety of skills, experience and knowledge required to effectively perform their roles.
