BULKY WASTE CLEAN UP
20 April to 1 May 2026
Liverpool Plains Shire Council is providing a Kerbside Bulky Waste Clean Up for all residents currently receiving a waste and recycling collection service which will take place as follows:
Zone 1 – Currabubula, Quirindi, Wallabadah, Willow Tree, Werris Creek & Braefield
Collections will commence for residents on Monday, 20 April and will take approximately one week. Residents are requested to put their Bulky Waste out the Sunday before their commencement date.
Zone 2 – Caroona, Premer, Spring Ridge, Blackville, Borambil, Pine Ridge & Walhallow
Collections will commence for residents on Monday, 27 April and will take approximately one week. Residents are requested to put their Bulky Waste out the Sunday before their commencement date.
Please place your Bulky Waste neatly next to the edge of the kerb directly in front of the premises, not blocking the footpath and secure items to avoid windblown littering.
The volume of Bulky Waste collected from any one property shall not exceed two (2) cubicmetres or more than one standard (6’x4’) level box trailer and which can be reasonably removed by two people.
ACCEPTABLE ITEMS:
• Bulky Waste includes larger items of household waste
• Household appliances & whitegoods (must be degassed and all doors must be removed)
• Household furniture, painted wooden products and fittings
• Mattresses, pottery, ceramics, chinaware & minor building products
• Metal Waste (sorted separately and tins must be empty of any liquid)
• Small items must be boxed or bagged
UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS:
These materials will NOT be collected.
• Trade industrial and shop waste, such as plumbing fixtures, water tanks and tiling
• Wrecked motor vehicles, motor vehicle parts & tyres
• Liquids, fuel, oil, panes of glass, food scraps & household garbage
• Household hazardous wastes such as paints, asbestos sheeting, solvents, chemicals, cleaners & unwanted medicines
• Lengths of material longer than 1.8 metres (excluding mattresses, lounges etc)
• Building and demolition materials, concrete, tiles & bricks
• Garden Organics such as grass clippings, prunings etc
• Items normally containing ozone depleting gasses such as fridges, freezers & air-conditioners
The Contractor and Council have the right to reject any material they consider unacceptable.
